Volunteer with Street Cat Community Outreach

Whether you’re passionate about hands-on work or providing transportation support, there’s a role for everyone at SCCO. Volunteering with us helps improve the lives of cats and strengthens our local neighborhoods.

Volunteering Opportunities

  • Community Outreach Team

You’ll play a key role in reaching caregivers and reducing cat overpopulation in high-need areas by helping us connect with local residents to provide spay/neuter resources and support for the cats in their care. This includes going door-to-door in pre-selected neighborhoods to identify residents in need of our services and provide education about cat care.

  • Transport Team

Assist with safely transporting cats to and from spay/neuter appointments by picking up cats from caregivers, delivering them to the transport location, and returning them to their caregivers after the procedure.

Requires a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Other Ways to Help

Helping Street Cat Community Outreach doesn’t stop at volunteering—there are so many creative ways you can support our mission!

  • Gather much-needed supplies for our cats and caregivers by organizing a collection drive in your community. Items we always need include:

    • Canned and dry cat food

    • Cat litter

    • Blankets and towels

    • Humane traps and carriers

This is a great way to involve your school, workplace, or local community group!

  • Get creative and host a fundraiser to support SCCO. Here are some fun ideas to get started:

    • Bake Sale or Craft Fair: Share your skills and donate the proceeds.

    • Social Media Challenge: Encourage friends to donate to a specific goal.

    • Neighborhood Event: Organize a trivia night, car wash, or yard sale with proceeds benefiting SCCO.

Every dollar raised helps us provide vital spay/neuter services and care for cats in need.

  • Awareness is a powerful tool! Help us reach more people by:

    • Sharing our social media posts and updates.

    • Talking to friends, family, and coworkers about the importance of spay/neuter programs.

    • Encouraging others to volunteer or donate.

The more people know about our work, the greater our impact!

  • Have your own idea for helping SCCO? We’d love to hear it! Whether it’s partnering with local businesses, creating custom merchandise to sell, or starting a cat-themed event, your creativity can make a big difference.
